Special
Session: Drawdown Implications to Subsistence Operations in Iraq and
Afghanistan
and Actions to Respond to Reduced Government Budgets
This session will feature
presentations and discussions on the likely implications on all aspects of the
drawdown of
US combat forces in
the Area of Operations. What will be the
impacts of a smaller combat presence? How will
remaining military
forces and supported contractors receive subsistence items? How will SPV
operations be affected?
What will be the
reduction of commercial support and rations into this area? What are the likely
impacts of reduced
military spending in
the outyears?
How can reductions be mitigated? What support is needed from non
government
agencies to assist the
government's reduced budget situation.
"Impacts of
Drawdown In the Middle East"
Mr.
Jim Fagan, R&DA
